The Field Guide explains the technology, institutions, acquisition systems, history and operating context shaping Ukraine and modern defense. It is editorial and educational content, not investment material, procurement advice, government policy, or evidence that any featured technology is part of Helicon’s commercial pipeline.

What Each Article Should Identify
Each article should identify evidence type, primary sources, author/editor, last-reviewed date, material uncertainty, Helicon analysis, and a public correction route.
Evidence type
Whether a claim rests on primary documentation, credible secondary reporting, expert interview, operational observation, or Helicon’s own analysis — stated plainly rather than blended together.
Primary sources
Links or citations to the original document, filing, statute, dataset, or reporting an article relies on, so a reader can check the claim independently.
Author / editor
Who wrote and who edited the piece, so responsibility for accuracy is traceable to a person, not an anonymous institutional voice.
Last-reviewed date
The date the article was most recently checked against current sources, distinct from the date it was first published.
Material uncertainty
Where the evidence is contested, incomplete, or evolving quickly — stated in the text rather than smoothed over.
Helicon analysis
Where Helicon is offering its own interpretation or judgment, clearly separated from the sourced facts it is interpreting.
Public correction route. Every Field Guide article carries a way for readers to flag an error, a stale figure, or a missing source. Corrections are reviewed against the primary sources above and, where warranted, the article is updated and its last-reviewed date changed. Persistent or material corrections are noted in the article itself rather than silently edited away.
