HELICON DEFENSE
Compliance & IP

Compliance and IP Framework

Trust posture

Helicon Defense is built for sensitive defense transitions. IP preservation is engineered in from the first conversation, with originator attribution preserved across U.S. and allied transitions, qualified legal and regulatory advisor involvement before binding commitments, and staged, qualified, NDA-sequenced disclosure.

Export-control awareness

Helicon works with qualified counsel on International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Ukrainian export controls, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and controlled technical-data boundaries, with NDA sequencing and data-room discipline. Helicon Defense is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

How we handle information by sensitivity

Helicon separates information into clear handling tiers and matches the channel and controls to the sensitivity of the material. The public website is the lowest tier only.

  • Public intake. Non-confidential summaries submitted through the website contact form. No controlled, proprietary, or classified material. Used only to assess fit and respond.
  • Qualified confidential. Business-sensitive but uncontrolled information exchanged after organization verification and an executed NDA, through a controlled channel rather than the public site.
  • Controlled technical data. ITAR-, EAR-, or CUI-class technical data handled only under appropriate export-control authorization, counsel involvement, eligibility screening, and access-controlled data-room discipline — never through the website.
  • Classified. Classified information handled only through appropriate U.S. Government channels, facilities, and accredited systems, under applicable government authorization. It is never accepted through this site or through commercial channels.

Supply-chain provenance

Component origin, software provenance, manufacturing location, and adversarial supply-chain exposure are evaluated before transition. Where required or strategically appropriate, restricted-source or adversarial-source components are replaced with trusted U.S./allied alternatives.

Allied manufacturing transition

Helicon supports U.S. and allied production, assembly, testing, and sustainment pathways, including redesign where required, to build a documented and trusted manufacturing pathway.

Qualification

Initial qualification includes organization verification, sanctions and end-use screening, role and authority review, conflict and provenance review, and NDA and export-control sequencing before sensitive material is exchanged.
