Privacy and Intake Handling
Non-confidential intake
The Helicon Defense website contact form is intentionally a non-confidential intake channel. Please do not submit classified, export-controlled, ITAR-controlled, EAR-controlled, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), proprietary, or otherwise restricted technical data through this site. Initial inquiries should be limited to non-confidential summaries.
Data controller
For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable data-protection laws, the data controller for this website is NuvoNexus, LLC, operating as Helicon Defense, Fairlawn, Virginia, USA. For privacy questions or to exercise your data-protection rights, use the contact form and select a general inquiry; mark your message “Privacy request.”
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, organization, country, email, and a non-confidential summary — so that Helicon can respond to your inquiry and assess fit. We use this information only to evaluate and respond to inquiries and to coordinate any subsequent qualification process. We also automatically receive limited technical data such as your IP address and browser information when you visit the site.
Legal basis for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we process the information you submit on the basis of our legitimate interest in evaluating and responding to inbound defense-transition inquiries, and on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to any potential engagement. Where we rely on consent — for example for certain analytics — you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Analytics
This site may use third-party visitor analytics, including services that may identify visitors at the business or organization level. We use analytics to understand site usage and improve the site. We do not request or accept controlled technical data through this site.
International data transfer
Helicon Defense operates from the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, including from Ukraine, the European Union, or the United Kingdom, the information you submit will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By submitting an inquiry, you understand that your information will be handled under United States law in addition to any applicable local protections.
Data retention
We retain inquiry information only as long as needed to evaluate and respond to the inquiry, to coordinate any qualification process, and to meet legal, compliance, and recordkeeping obligations. Information that does not progress to engagement is deleted or anonymized once it no longer serves a legitimate business or legal purpose.
Your data-protection rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete the information you have submitted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your information in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, submit a request through the contact form and mark it “Privacy request.” EU and UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.
Cookies
This site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies necessary for the site to function and, where applicable, for analytics. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
Qualification before sensitive disclosure
Real engagement begins only after a qualification process that may include organization verification, sanctions and end-use screening, role and authority review, and NDA and export-control sequencing before any sensitive material is exchanged.
